I am Amanda Westphal, a Registered Counsellor with a clinical focus on Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and complex cycle-related mood presentations. My practice is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with an emphasis on practical strategies, functional improvement and consistent follow-up.
For patients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan, I deliver a structured six session program designed to improve symptom regulation, coping capacity and day-to-day stability. Following completion, patients have access to an ongoing after-care pathway through a monthly support group to maintain progress and reduce relapse risk.
My aim is to provide reliable, cycle-informed care that compliments GP management and aligns with current clinical standards.
STRUCTURED CARE
For referred patients
A structured six session framework that builds understanding, regulation and long-term stability. The program supports patients to recognise their patterns, manage the luteal phase more effectively and develop cycle-informed coping strategies.
Patients begin with psychoeducation, cycle tracking and early-warning identification, then progress to nervous system regulation skills, practical luteal-phase planning, communication strategies and deeper emotional work where appropriate. Each session builds clinical insight and functional coping capacity.
By the end of the program, patients complete a personalised Luteal Management Plan and a clear action pathway for ongoing stability. Aftercare options include a monthly support group, continued counselling and access to a structured self-paced program for longer term management.
Referral Instructions
To refer a patient to the PMDD Reset Roadmap:

Referrers using Medical Director will need to search the MD exchange online directory for facility code "hmsweber", copy this to their local address book and edit this to your details.
